Leverett Crafts & Artists Incorporated

LCA is a non-profit craft and arts center located in Leverett Center in a 1903 box factory. The LCA mission is to foster the production of handmade arts and crafts, to educate in the production and appreciation of handmade art, and to display and afford to the public items of the work, exhibiting design and workmanship of high standard.

LCA is a focal point for cultural life and aesthetic experience within the community of Leverett and surrounding towns. LCA currently has 18 affordable  studios for artists, and the Mudpie Community Clay Center which serves approximately 30 potters. LCA offers art exhibits and receptions throughout the year that are free to the public. LCA also offers concerts, dance and other cultural events with affordable and voluntary admission.

LCA provides educational opportunities of benefit to the public. The exhibition space is nearly always in use and shows are well attended. Many classes are offered including glassmaking, pottery, weaving, print-making, fabric art, dance, painting, children’s art classes, art therapy, and healing arts.
