L.I.F.E. encourages excellence in K-12 education in the Lewiston School District.

Below are some of our projects and programs.

Kindergarten Totes: filled with a book, school supplies, fun activities, and information for parents.  L.I.F.E. is pleased to provide these totes to new Kindergarteners and it is great fun to watch the children's eyes light up as they receive their "very own" bag to keep.

3rd Grade Science Systems Day:  a messy, fun, hands-on day exploring science.          

4th Grade Rendezvous:  students learn about pioneer history and life style as they rotate through hands-on stations.  When was the last time YOU milked a cow?

4th-6th Knowledge Bowl and Math Competitions showcase and test students' general and mathematical knowledge in a competitive but fun environment.

Accounts in L.I.F.E. provide a safety net for families in urgent need of basic necessities such as food, clothing, or medicine. 

Scholarships, Scholarships, Scholarships!  Over 30 different scholarships are available.  Applications are available in the LHS counseling office.

Impact Grants:  If a teacher has an idea to help students learn and excel, L.I.F.E. wants to hear about it.  Grants of up to $1000 are awarded to 10-15 projects every year.

Awards for Teachers of the Year and Support Persons of the Year, as well as the prestigious $1500 Baskin Outstanding Elementary Teacher Award, are funded from accounts in L.I.F.E.
