The mission of the Lexington County School District One Educational Foundation is to support the educational process and enrich the quality of life in our community by raising and managing funds.

The Lexington One Educational Foundation builds partnerships with individuals, corporations and other foundations to enhance the educational opportunities for our students and teachers in Lexington School District One. Highlights of our annual endeavors include but are not limited to the following initiatives:
- Scholarships for Lexington One seniors who are pursing higher education upon graduation.
- grants for teachers to support creative, educational efforts not funded by district budget.
- grants for elementary schools to support innovative programs to develop 21st Century learners who are prepared for college, career and future contributing citizenship.
- grants for schools to support STEM learning through school robotics teams.
- grants for schools to build school gardens to enhance student knowledge of diet, nutrition, gardening and more.
- grants for schools to strengthen libraries in classrooms and in school Learning Commons in an effort to further develop students' literacy skills.
- Celebration of Excellence in Education that honors the top ten percent academically of seniors from all five of our high schools with a banquet and induction into the district's honor society.
