Vision:

We seek to impact culture and medicine to accept and support gender nonconformity in a non-medicalized way. 

LGBT adults understand the experience of gender incongruence and we seek to bring our voices forward to highlight ways forward so that no child’s future is limited by irreversible medical interventions. 

The Problem: 

In the last decade pediatric gender medicine has gone completely off the rails and is no longer providing safeguarding or high-quality care to young people. Legacy LGBT organizations have become completely emmeshed in protecting these practices and contributed to a climate to works to silence those with concerns. 

The Solution: 

LGB adults have experience with gender incongruence that differs from heterosexual adults, because of these experiences these voices are crucial to address the harms occurring in pediatric gender medicine. In addition, T adults who have medically transitioned under previous clinical guidelines have serious concerns about the pediatric care model and seek to challenge the narrative being prolomogated by legacy LGBT orgs. 

The LGBT-CC provides the critically necessary public voice to challenge the monolithic view that the LGBT ‘community’ supports unregulated pediatric gender medicine and elevates the growing concern that those being harmed most by pediatric gender medicine are young LGB individuals and simply gender non-conforming young people. 

 The LGBT-CC provides the ability for media and cultural leaders to seek information from the LGBT lens about pediatric gender medicine that is centered on evidence based compassionate care that wholistically sees young people and their families.
