$5,000 Goal

The mission of the LGBTQ Center of Bay County is to enhance and sustain the health and well-being of the LGBTQ+  population of Bay County, Florida, by providing activities, programs and services that create community; empower community members; provide essential resources; advocate for civil and human rights; and embrace, promote and support LGBTQ cultural diversity.

The LGBTQ Center of Bay County Inc. currently operates the ONLY dedicated all-inclusive LGBTQ+ straight-allied youth program in the Panhandle of Florida.

Our vision is to build a thriving lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community, living with equality in a supportive and inclusive environment.

A 2019 federal study conducted by the CDC showed 2% of high school students identified themselves as transgender, and 35% attempted suicide in 2018. We are currently working with the Levi Strauss Foundation to match all funds donated to our organization with the specific goal to support and provide resources for our queer youth. They are not alone!
