Lideramos

As the country’s largest and youngest minority, Latinos have the potential to take a leadership role in shaping the 21st Century. To do this they must be prepared to lead and to work together. To accomplish Latinos need leadership training that is comprehensive community-based, culturally focused and social change oriented. 

Through a national survey conducted by LIDERAMOS only 94 programs were identified serving approximately 3,000 people or less than .05% for a community of 57 Million people.

LIDERAMOS aims to change this and was formed to enhance existing programs and initiate programs in areas where none exist. Our goal is to triple the number of leadership programs serving Latinos. In 2018 Lideramos launched The First National Latino Leadership Symposium, initiated the Lideramos Fellows to train program directors and a Latino Leadership webinar series. Support is needed to assist new communities launch programs starting in 2019. 

America’s future well-being is closely tied to the preparation and deployment of a critical mass of Latino leaders. Now is the time to prepare Latinos for leadership so they are strategically positioned to guide their community and our nation forward. Join us!
