LifeStream Blood Bank operates nine blood donation centers in Southern California including two in the Coachella Valley (La Quinta and Rancho Mirage) and is the exclusive provider of blood products and services to all Coachella Valley-area hospitals.

Since 1951, LifeStream has relied on a dedicated base of volunteer blood donors to achieve its mission. With a commitment to donor convenience and comfort, we conduct about 1,700 mobile blood drives annually throughout our service area, seven days per week, at schools, churches, businesses, government offices, hospitals and service clubs. Each unit of blood we collect can help up to three patients.

LifeStream is always looking for new, innovative ways to help patients in need because we care about the health and wellness of our community. Over the years, LifeStream has evolved to offer a variety of life-saving blood products and services. The Components Laboratory prepares specialized components for patients. A comprehensive automated collection program known as apheresis, allows donors the opportunity to provide specific blood components including red cells, plasma, platelets and white cells to seriously ill patients. Therapeutic procedures (phlebotomy, plasmapheresis) are performed at LifeStream facilities and medical facilities we serve. In addition, reference laboratory work is provided as a service to hospitals seeking specialized patient testing (i.e., cross matching, antigen screening, antibody identification).

I have been coming to this LifeStream Blood Bank location ever since I was old enough to give blood. I still remember my first time on October 24th back in 2007!! The people who work here are nice, reassuring, genuine and kind. I absolutely love their staff!! Everything is very professional. They have even recently upgraded their system to an electronic method while is more private and efficient for the blood donor. They give you careful after-care instructions and they give you snacks and drinks in the Canteen area… even when my iron fails =/ they still offer me snacks, but of course I don't take it!! I can honestly say giving blood at this location makes me feel like a part of the community!! -- Van D.
