Helping individuals and families with life's changing needs by developing programs and providing services which will improve their quality of life. From the needs of infants, young children and their families (Child Care, Preschool), to the care of adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, to the support of elderly adults, Lifesteps offers family-focused programs and services. Lifesteps operates Community Homes and Day Programs for adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. The Agency also provides early education, testing, evaluations, and therapies for children with developmental delays and services for older adults who become frail or are unable to function independently. Lifesteps provides programs and services in Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Mercer, Washington, and Westmoreland Counties in western PA.

Lifesteps' Children's Services is built on a foundation of developmentally appropriate practices and incorporates individualized approaches that benefit all children. The 2 Lifesteps' Early Education Centers located in Beaver and Butler serve children with and without special needs, from six weeks to five years of age. The development of the 'whole' child is encouraged by promoting the physical and intellectual growth while supporting social and emotional development. Small classes and a standardized curriculum create an atmosphere of acceptance where children discover and learn through group play, art, and music. The Centers are licensed by the PA Dept of Public Welfare and the PA Dept of Education, and participate in the Pennsylvania Keystone STARS program. Lifesteps is a PA Pre-K Counts provider and also offers an additional Pre-K Counts class in the South Butler School District.
