Lights of Tomorrow

In 2006, I was inspired to work with youth after observing students in my neighborhood of South Natomas in Sacramento. I saw a need for mentoring middle school kids and developed a working relationship at Leroy Greene MS. I established a program called the Sisterhood. From that experience I was moved to establish my 501 c 3 in 2009. The program expanded to include college tours of northern and southern colleges and HBCU tours out of state. We also established the Miss Natomas Scholarship Pageant to highlight accomplishments of teens otherwise not exposed to sharing their talents.
