Lincoln Fencing Association

A nonprofit organization

$3,315 raised by 36 donors

LFC believes in:

Safety - First and foremost Respect - For ourselves and those around us Responsibility - For our own actions, on and off the fencing strip Inclusiveness - Everyone is welcome

Fencing is for everyone:

Youth - Eight and older, who wish to learn a new sport and compete recreationally Adults - Who want to learn a new sport for social, fitness, or recreational purposes

Experienced Fencers - Who want to reach their maximum potential competitively

The fencing club has been working hard in recent months to upgrade its facilities and acquire the resources and expertise needed to add the Joba Chamberlain Wheelchair Fencing Program. Wheelchair fencing is a version of fencing for athletes with disabilities and is one of only two combative sports featured in the Paralympic Games.

We also partner with El Centro with our Golden Warrior program, which allows kids to try fencing for free and continue fencing at a reduced rate.

In addition to providing all necessary equipment, LFC offers scholarships; no one who wants to fence will be turned away.

Today, LFC has over 100 members and continues to grow.  It focuses on competitive fencing in all 3 weapons: foil, epee, and sabre.  LFC is a 501c nonprofit organization, located at 2645 O St (at the corner of 27th and O Street).  We sponsor several tournaments, offer classes for youth age 7 on up to adults age 75.  LFC promotes directors and fencers to gain top-level ratings.  We demand safety, mutual respect, and the opportunity for everyone to fence. LFC provides a safe, family-centered, personally challenging fencing program that develops people as well as fencers.  We believe in safety, first and foremost; respecting ourselves as well as those around us; accepting responsibility for our own actions both on and off the strip; and being totally inclusive.
