Lincoln-Lancaster County Crime Stoppers Inc

The success of the Lincoln/Lancaster County Crime Stoppers program can be directly attributed to the residents and business owners who care about stopping and preventing crime in our communities.

Since its inception more than three decades ago, Crime Stoppers has paid more than $289,000 in rewards, cleared over 11,000 cases, recovered $5.4 million-plus in property, and seized in excess of $11 million in drugs.  Simply put, Crime Stoppers works! 

Our community has been highly supportive of the Crime Stoppers program in the past, and we would greatly appreciate your continued financial support. The Crime Stoppers program is funded solely by private donations.  NO TAX DOLLARS are involved. The reward money paid out by the program to anonymous tipsters comes directly from donations provided by citizens and businesses. In addition to funding payments for tipsters, donations help us maintain our website, blog, and web tip information system, promote our program throughout the county, and stay active in our schools.

The Crime Stoppers Board of Directors is a public-private partnership. Board members consist of volunteer citizens who work very closely with local law enforcement, including the Lincoln Police Department, Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, the University of Nebraska Police Department, and the Nebraska State Patrol. Volunteer board members represent an array of organizations throughout the county, including financial institutions, insurance companies, retailers, hospitals, and media organizations. This solid law enforcement-community partnership has made our Crime Stoppers program increasingly successful at fighting crime.
