Lincoln Orchestra Association

A nonprofit organization

$11,685 raised by 49 donors

Since 1927, Lincoln's Symphony Orchestra has been providing citizens of Lincoln and surrounding communities with world-class performances of symphonic music. Over the years since the Symphony was founded, many major changes have taken place within the organization, but none as great as the changes that occurred during the 2011-12 season. During the 2011-12 season, LSO moved into its new home in the Lied Center for Performing Arts, with new affordable ticket prices of $30 and $15. This was the final piece of the puzzle in terms of truly becoming Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra by making live classical music financially accessible to everyone in our community. Since the move, audience size at LSO concerts has more than doubled, and the number of households served by the Symphony has more than tripled.

The success of this initiative would not have been possible without the philanthropy of our patrons. LSO is a charitable organization that plays a vital role not only in the arts arena but also in the broader community. Our primary revenue will always be philanthropic gifts, and for this reason we hope that you will consider making a financial commitment to LSO to support the work that we do in the community. By making a donation to LSO, you will have the knowledge that you are helping to make our concerts more accessible to everyone in Lincoln and expand our audience, which will ensure a vibrant future for classical music in Lincoln.
