Oscar protests trended on Twitter for the second year in a row, 18% of classroom teachers identify as people of color and less than a quarter of Congressional and state leaders—those in positions of power—are  from underrepresented backgrounds.

Through college access and attainment, critical consciousness and leadership development, Leaders in Training (LIT) empowers East Las Vegas students to become first-generation college graduates and the pipeline of diverse leaders who will become world-changing social justice leaders.

From the community, for the community Leaders in Training (LIT) GOES BIG by empowering first-generation college graduates and the next-generation of diverse leaders who will change the world.

After 5 years, LIT has a 100% four-year college acceptance rate, 93% college persistence rate and empowers over 80 students and families in an area of Las Vegas where students have a greater chance of becoming high school dropouts than college graduates.
