Litchfield Montessori School is a small independent school that serves children from 15 months to 12 years of age.
Our Mission: We are committed to serving the whole child, guided by the principles of Dr. Maria Montessori, dedicated to nurturing the child’s love of learning, preserving the child’s sense of wonder, encouraging independence and fostering respect for our world’s social and cultural diversity.
Litchfield Montessori School, like all independent schools, relies on fundraising to offset the difference between tuition and the cost of maintaining the quality of our educational programs. The school depends on the generous giving of friends, alumni, current and past parents, and grandparents to support its annual operating budget.
Donations we receive through Give Local will go toward our annual fund, which supports various initiatives such as classroom resources, staff development, financial aid, Montessori materials, and all the programs that enrich our students' educational experience. This fund ensures that our Montessori community thrives and continues to provide an exceptional environment for our students and their families.
