Little Hero Foundation

A nonprofit organization

SAVE LIVES through funding targeted research dedicated to less harmful and more individualized cancer treatments.

INSPIRE HOPE for children and their families battling cancer through meaningful gifts designed to provide a glimmer of light, a spark of joy and the gift of laughter to those in need!

Our hearts are filled with deep gratitude for the remarkable community that drives the Little Hero Foundation. Together, we remain steadfast in our mission to ensure that one day, “Your child has cancer” will no longer be one of the most heartbreaking phrases a parent can hear, and that all forms of pediatric cancer will be treatable. We are committed to advancing this vision, pushing toward a future where cancer treatments no longer come with devastating short- and long-term side effects.

This year, we continued to bring hope, strength, and bright spots to children battling cancer and their families, ensuring they have the support they need during their journey. This fall, volunteers from across the nation decorated 15,592 gold pumpkins as part of our Gold Pumpkins for the Cure initiative, raising awareness for pediatric cancer. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we were able to donate $15,592 directly to pediatric cancer research—$1 for every gold pumpkin decorated. The outpouring of support from children, families, and individuals has been truly inspiring, as communities unite to make a meaningful impact in the fight against childhood cancer.

Since our founding in 2019, the Little Hero Foundation has been dedicated to supporting transformative initiatives in the battle against pediatric cancer. We are proud to have supported:

  • Immunotherapy Research for Pediatric Neuroblastoma at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center

  • Hepatoblastoma Quail Egg Research Trials for novel drug development through the Hepatoblastoma Research Network

  • DNA Sequencing for Leukemia at Nemours Children’s Health

  • The Emotional Support Initiative for pediatric cancer patients at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia

  • Development of RNA Nanoparticle Vaccines (RNA-NPs) for treating Diffuse Midline Glioma (DMG) and other pediatric cancers at the University of Florida

  • Non-invasive Blood Test for High-Risk Neuroblastoma at the University of Chicago, using circulating tumor DNA to more precisely monitor treatment response and resistance

Our mission continues to focus on delivering hope and critical resources to families while advancing medical research to improve treatment outcomes.

Thanks to our all-volunteer team, we ensure that every dollar donated is maximized for direct and meaningful impact. From honoring the incredible mothers of children with cancer through our Gold Ribbon Mom Recognition program to funding groundbreaking research and uplifting families with Bright Spot Gift Cards, your generosity has made these efforts possible. Together, we are ensuring that no family fights alone.

Thank you for your unwavering support and belief in our mission. Together, we are proving that hope is a powerful catalyst for change.

With heartfelt appreciation,

The Little Hero Foundation Team
