We are in the business of helping our community and in the last few days, our community has expanded to include employee devastated by the storm. As requested last week, several managers and department heads helped us identify those employees suffering the greatest losses. We are pleased to report that we are actively relocating employees in need of emergency temporary housing into on-campus Residents’ Housing.

We have tried to provide other assistance in the form of access to gasoline,  information on local aid resources, and finally, tomorrow, we are planning another gesture of support for employees severely impacted by the storm.

Several employees have expressed interest in donating funds to help their colleagues. Tomorrow we will be conducting an employee relief fundraising campaign that will provide small one-time only relief grants to those employees in dire need. The funds we raise will be matched dollar for dollar by the NuHealth Foundation, up to $10,000. 

We are not in a position to resolve all of the complex challenges employees are facing but it is our hope that this gesture will provide some form of relief to those employees who are reeling from the impacts of recent events.
