Providing youth and their families with programs and services

Los Alamos JJAB strives to help youth and their families in our community feel connected, valued, and recognized. By partnering with other community organizations, JJAB assists with concerns regarding youth and family issues, providing individualized case management, parenting workshops, youth activities, and free classes/training.  Our organization services youth ages 0 – 18 who live in or attend school in Los Alamos County.

Each year, JJAB raises funds for three Community Projects:

1. Summer Camp financial assistance for school-aged youth.  Los Alamos organizations provide various programs during the summer, but some families struggle financially to be able to enroll their children.  Your donation for this Community Project will allow kids to learn art, get out in nature, make videos, play sports, and so much more.   
2. School Supply Drive. Since 2017, JJAB began raising funds to provide Los Alamos Public School (LAPS) students with school supplies such as backpacks, notebooks, pencils, pens, crayons, graphing paper, folders, headphones, Clorox wipes, tissues, and other academic supplies. Supplies are distributed the week before school starts, and your donation would make sure youth are equipped with the tools they need to succeed in school and find joy in learning. 
3. Winter Clothing Project. Through financial donations, we provide youth winter clothing that is warm, fits, and is in style.  Items provided as the weather cools in October of each year are winter coats, snow boots, hats, gloves, and scarves.

Reaching our Giving Goal would help 2 – 3 youth attend summer camp and provide school supplies or winter clothing for approximately 20 children.  100% of all funds raised go to purchasing items within each project.  You can make a difference for our youth in 2025!
