The Louisville Metro Police Foundation was created after the line of death of Officer Peter Grignon in 2005. The Foundation provides funding for equipment, training and programs unable to be covered by the police budget. Programs such as Shop with a Cop, the Thanksgiving Turkey Drive, and the HUG Fund allow our LMPD officers to meet the needs of some our community’s most vulnerable. We also support our Officers with our Officer in Distress fund; when a catastrophic event occurs involving the Officer or their immediate family we are able to step in, offer support, and let them know the whole Louisville Community has their backs. The LMPF is honored to partner with the Louisville community to be able to surround our officers with love and support as they put their lives on the line every day to make Louisville a safer city in which to raise our families. We hope you will join us this giving day in supporting the programs or units closest to your heart. In so doing you thank those who stand ready to sacrifice all for us.

Who We Are

The Louisville Metro Police Foundation's Mission is to finance essential equipment, training and programs for the men and women in blue of the Louisville Metro Police Department and their families and to support the good work our officers do in our community.

We support making Louisville a safer place to live, work and visit, one officer at a time.
