Education Center & Bird Blind: OPEN: Monday-Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  CLOSED: Sundays and Holidays

Trails: OPEN sunrise to sunset every day!
Admission is FREE, but donations are appreciated

Among our unique features are: a native wildflower garden and pond, butterfly gardens, hiking trails through the Beargrass Creek State Nature Preserve, a one-of-a-kind bird blind, wildlife exhibits, Beargrass Creek watershed exhibit, a meeting room, a nature gift shop. Our library is a great place to do research and spend some time indoors when the weather is too hot, too cold or rainy to study nature outside.

Our mission is to provide nature education and encourage stewardship in an urban forest.

The Nature Center's meeting room can be rented as a unique meeting place for groups who want a peaceful, natural setting! Perfect for reunions, retreats, or company gatherings. (Click on the "Group Events" button for more information.)

At the Louisville Nature Center you can enjoy walking through our native wildflower gardens, see butterflies and dragonflies, view our indoor exhibits and nature mural, observe wildlife up-close in our bird blind, study books and activities in our library and hike in Beargrass Creek State Nature Preserve.
We look forward to your support!
