Shining a Light on Suburban Poverty

Since 1988, LIFE Food Pantry has been dedicated to feeding and advocating for food-insecure neighbors in the 45140 zip code, where suburban poverty often goes unseen.

These are:

• The child walking to school without a winter coat because local donations went downtown.
•  The parent struggling to afford basic needs while others donate to areas with more obvious poverty.
• The elderly widow skipping meals to keep up with rising suburban costs.

The suburban poor are often the forgotten poor.

• A client-choice food pantry
• Weekend Bags for students
• Holiday meals and gifts
• School supplies, hygiene items, and laundry support
• Emergency financial assistance to prevent evictions and keep utilities on
