Lower 9 Th Ward Homeownership Association

A nonprofit organization

182 donors

The Lower 9th Ward's recovery is finally hitting its stride. In the last few years, our population has grown by 250 households. A new high school, Head Start program, firehouse and community center have opened. But 60% of Lower 9th Ward residents are still displaced. We want them home!!

How You Can Help

Our greatest supporters have always been individual donors like you, giving what they can. As we continue to connect homeowners to rebuilding grants, every dollar you give will be multiplied many times over.

To make sure the nearly 200 still-displaced families who hope to return home can do so - finally - please:

1. Click the DONATE button to give what you can. We are particularly seeking monthly gifts to sustain our work - $100, $25 or $10 per month - all of it helps immensely!

2. Tell your friends about us - like us on Facebook (www.Facebook.com/L9WHA), share our page, send an email to your friends and family, and follow us on Twitter @L9WHomeowners. You can even set up your own fundraising page by clicking FUNDRAISE above.

Thank you so much for your support.

How’s the 9? This is the question by which the recovery of New Orleans will be judged.
