Eat Right and Move
The reality - COVID-19 is killing our Black citizens. In Northwest Louisiana near Shreveport, Black residents are dying at 3.86 times the rate of other races.
Why? Hypertension. Diabetes. Obesity. Heart Disease. These diseases make COVID-19 more deadly.
Here is the good news - all of these can be reversed by eating right and exercising.
Eat Right and Move is a six-month lifestyle program to help people make lasting change and improve their health. This program is designed and implemented by medical experts at LSU Health Shreveport and has the power to reduce COVID-19 deaths in Shreveport.
Eat Right and Move is free for everyone. We provide cooking classes (you eat what you make!), exercise instruction, fitness trackers, and more. But we need your help to keep the program free and open to all. Please support our fight against COVID-19 by making a donation to the Eat Right and Move program.
Your donation will be immediately put to use to replenish our supply of fresh healthy food and provide additional exercise equipment and medical testing supplies. Together we are making a difference! Won’t you join us?
