A grass roots immersive dance/theater and music creation team. Serving communities in Northern Colorado and Denver.  We create performing arts experiences from immersive productions that span the borders of reality  and the surreal. Here at LuneAseas we infuse these experiences with tales and legends from local history. We bring educational performing arts experiences to the community through creative movement workshops and silent film jams. We support emerging directors and movers with production support.

 Our outreach and programs

  • Collaborative Performances- This can be site specific, in a traditional theatre space, immersive, or on a proscenium stage. These works are created collaboratively by a team of dancers, actors, musicians, melded together by a director and producer.  They created with original and/or live music often times telling forgotten local history.
  • Emerging Directors Initiative- This is our newest program that connects emerging directors with production resources to make their dreams a reality.
  • Independent Silent Film Festival and Jams- In its fifth year this festival connects local and international filmmakers, choreographers, and musicians to create new collaborations through random selection. Our jams invite community members to hone their skills in film music composition through music creation to classic silent films.
  • Contact and Creation- This workshops has touched the lives of hundreds of youth and community members, encouraging our participants to think outside box, creative problem solve as a collective, learn trust and fluid leadership through movement creation.

What we are raising funds for:
This year's season of giving we are raising fund for our latest focus the 5 Points Nutcracker: A Jazz Experience

About the show

Emerging Director Larea Edwards weaves a fresh twist on a holiday classic, celebrating the cultural richness of 5 Points Denver, often dubbed as "The Harlem of the West".

Jazz maestro, Tenia Nelson, backed by the Boulder Phil infuses the performance with her unique musical interpretation of Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorns’ 1960 score, adding a touch of improvisational magic.

Denver's dance sensations, Reyna Muerta, Chopz, Kayla Banks, and Vi Bright, join  LuneAseas to showcase an eclectic blend of swing, break, and contemporary dance, all viewed through the Jazz Era's prism.

Our Fundraising Goals

Ticket sales alone do not nearly cover the costs it takes to put on such innovative and ambitious work. We reaching out his year to help us close our budget gap on this production to cover the costs of our show and make a brighter holiday season for our cast, crew, and audience!
