Who We Are

Our original site, Camp Lutherhaven, was founded in 1946 on beautiful Lake Coeur d'Alene's Mica Bay, just 20 minutes from destination resort Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.  Lutherhaven is a year-round retreat center and summer youth and family camp.

In 2009 Lutherhaven purchased Shoshone Base Camp from the US Forest Service. Shoshone, an hour east of Coeur d'Alene, includes 35 acres in the Bitterroot Mountains on the North Fork of the Coeur d'Alene River, surrounded by 3.5 million acres of wild National Forest. Shoshone Creek Ranch,
an authentic western dude ranch with historically reconstructed log cabins, is being developed on the same property. 

Both sites serve youth, adults, families and groups of all kinds with camps, retreats and programs.  Spirits are renewed, faith nurtured and lives transformed. 

For nearly 70 years Lutherhaven has been a place to get away from life's daily pressures, a place for reflection, personal growth, discovery and renewal of one's relationship with God. Rich in history, unique in spirit, magnificent in location and common in mission, our centers are a safe place for all to gather, play, worship, pray, question, learn, grow and serve.
