The LUX Enriches Our Community
Our mission is to enhance the lives of our diverse community through the visual arts by providing exceptional learning opportunities in contemporary art, craft and design. In doing so we enhance the quality of life and well being of our city.

The LUX Changes Lives
Through Art Van deLUX, we provide art-making workshops for at-risk youth, women struggling to overcome addiction, children attending low-income schools, cancer survivors and people with memory disorders.

"To see people engaging, creating art in their spare time, despite their circumstances, lets me know that we are making a difference in people's lives," says Jon Love, a LUX teacher and artist-in-residence.

The LUX Impacts Kids
Creative opportunities for today's children are underfunded. You make it possible to take art classes to low-income schools and provide scholarships so kids can come to classes at the LUX. We work to level the playing field so all children have the chance to become tomorrow's innovators and creative problem-solvers.
