This year mark's MIM's 15th anniversary, delivering on our mission to make the world's music accessible to all. That goal takes shape in many ways: education programs for all ages, events celebrating music and cultures, concerts in our theater, and the sounds and stories in our galleries, which feature every country in the world. At MIM, we believe that life is better with music. Your gift brings the benefits of music and the arts to communities across Arizona.
Education is central to MIM's mission. People of all ages can discover the world's musical traditions in our education programs, which include MIMkids classes, K-12 field trips, Memory Care and Music programs for seniors, and more.
Did you know that over 620,000 participants have visited on a MIM field trip? At the museum, students learn about science, language arts, history, and more through music. By exploring music from around the world, they also build appreciation for diverse cultures.
We often hear from teachers about how a visit to MIM inspired their students. One teacher shared, "My students enjoyed every part of the museum, but especially the Recycled Orchestra. The day after our field trip, our students made their own recycled instruments." Another teacher said, "The students have always had a great time. One of our students learned how to play the piano because of MIM." Your support helps create musical experiences that make a lasting impact in students' lives!
Your donation helps students from Title I and under-resourced schools visit the museum. Just $10 can bring one student on a field trip to MIM. A gift $100 gives ten students the chance to visit MIM. While a donation of $1,000 brings and entire class and their transportation to experience first-hand the magic and power of music from around the world.
Your gift makes an impact for Arizona students, teachers, and families!
Thank you for your generous support.
"They [the students] were amazed at how many instruments there were and they loved getting to play the harp and other instruments. They loved seeing instruments from places they shared heritage with."
-Teacher, Happy Valley School East
"The Experience Gallery got everyone engaged and excited to try new things and inspired our students to tour the museum to discover more about the instruments they played."
-High school educator
"I liked listening to how the different countries played their music and it also helped me understand a little bit more about their culture. My favorite thing to listen to was the violin. . . . I am currently learning how to play this wonderful instrument. I saw how different countries had their violin and what they sounded like."
