Metro Atlanta Chess Partners Inc

Metro Atlanta Chess Partners, Inc. (MACP) is a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization founded in 2015.  MACP’s mission is to help bridge the educational gap by using the principles of chess.   

MACP provides chess lessons at no cost to underserved youth in low and no income families and communities.  MACP also offers fee-based chess lessons to individuals, groups and organizations. We are able to offer our services through the generous financial and in-kind  support of donors, grantors, volunteers and interns.

MACP believes the game of chess is an excellent teaching and learning tool for fostering clarity that helps encourage youth to succeed; and playing sanctioned tournaments through the United States Chess Federation allows children to be recognized on a national platform.

***Due to COVID-19, MACP has aligned all operations, including tournament play, with federal and local guidelines. MACP has transitioned most chess lessons to an online digital platform. 

Online tournaments and in-person tournaments are limited to 20 participants.
