Hi my name is Marjorie Sullivan. I am President & Founder of Maggie Sky Foundation, Inc. I'm a survivor of abuse. Therefore,  I am an advocate to break the cycle of abuse.   The statistics for Child Sexual Abuse are: 1 in 4 girls, 1 in 6 boys are sexually abused. These Statistics are reported disclosures, this is not including the numbers that go unreported due to the shame and stigma.  The statistics from the National  Domestic Violence Hotline are: 1 in 3 women, 1 in 4 men in the United States have experienced physical violence, rape, and/or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime.   Recently, in the NFL  news  Mr. Peterson hit his son with a tree branch and saw nothing wrong with it because his father  had disciplined him the same way.  Being a survivor and given the statistics along with whats been in the news as of late these are a few of the  many  reasons why I am so  passionate about  Breaking The Cycle of Domestic Violence. The Time is NOW to Break the Cycle. 

We've held  Educational Workshops for our youth and they consist of: Peer Pressure, Bullying, Controlling/Being Controlled, and Self Esteem after school at The YMCA and The Dunbar Center

 Maggie Sky Foundation raises awareness through speaking engagements to name a few; The Boys & Girls Club Staffers,  Non Violence Walk, and  Hampden County House-Correctional Center. 

Our community events include; East Longmeadow National Night Out, Hampden Safe Night Out, "Yellow Dress Event" regarding Dating Violence at Ludlow High School, and Campaign Non Violence Walks.    

Our goal today through Valley Gives is to raise funds so we continue to move forward with our programs. In addition to educating our youth,  we have some NEW exciting programs we are looking to implement in 2015. Yoga classes specifically for women survivors who suffer from PTSD for their health and wellness. Another program; Self Defense Classes for women.

With the increasing violence our community is experiencing it's imperative that we continue to raise awareness and educate our youth to empower them to make positive choices. Then we begin to break the cycle of abuse.  With your help today, please join in our;
