Magic City Harvest

The mission of Magic City Harvest is to alleviate food insecurity, malnutrition and food waste in Jefferson, Shelby and Talladega counties. This is done thru distribution of donated perishable and prepared food; education on the effects of poverty manifest thru food insecurity and creation of, and partnership in, collaborative efforts related to these issues.   Utilizing three refrigerated trucks, Magic City Harvest distributed over 2.5 million lbs of free, donated food to 32+ feeding programs across our service area in 2011.
