Make-A-Wish Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana

Make-A-Wish Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana is a community-based organization, serving families in all 64 parishes of Louisiana as one of 58 chapters throughout the United States.  Since our inception in 1984, we have granted nearly 10,300 wishes to local children, and, this year, we will grant more than 600 wishes.

At Make-A-Wish, we grant life-changing wishes for local kids battling a critical illness, for a wish is a powerful component of their treatment journey. For these children, wishes offer hope, strength, and joy during the most difficult time of their life.

There are currently 257 kids on a wish journey in Louisiana; 55 of those children are located in North Louisiana. In fiscal year 2022, Make-A-Wish granted 156 wishes throughout Louisiana and has averaged more than 100 wishes granted per year for the last six years.
