Making a Change Group

Making a Change Group (MACG) empowers youth and families living in and around Chester City, PA to pursue their dreams by equipping them with the skills and tools they need to succeed independently and to prosper. We accomplish this through three interconnected programs:

GVINE (Gun Violence Intervention Network and Empowerment Program) is our youth-driven solution to gun violence. Grounded in research and powered by "credible messengers", GVINE delivers targeted community and school interventions, mentorship and wraparound support to disrupt the cycle of violence and build safer futures for high-risk Chester youth.

TEAM MAC is our transformative after-school program for youth ages 8-17, designed to build confidence, leadership and life skills through strong mentorship, academic support and opportunities for community engagement.

CONNECTED FAMILIES is our comprehensive family-centered initiative that helps low-income households break barriers and achieve financial, educational, vocational and personal success. Grounded in a robust case management approach, the program offers personalized needs assessments, goal setting and direct access to resources - including financial literacy training, healthy eating workshops and family communication skill-building.
