Malone Community Center

Founded in 1955 through a reorganization of the Lincoln Urban League, the Malone Community Center, has improved social conditions and increased understanding between all the races.

Our programs fulfill our mission. The Early Childhood Center, for ages 3-5 year olds, prepares our children to be successfull in kindergarten. The Out-of-School Program, for ages 5-13 years old, provides academic supports, cultural awareness, and structured recreation. Both programs operate the year around.

The Malone Community Center is the lead agency for the Culler Community Learning Center which provides before and after school extended learning opportunities for both the children who attend Culler Middle School and their families. 

We collaborate with Aging Partners to host the JoAnn Maxey Senior Center, which provides elders with social activities, health education, and a nutritious lunch. 

There is weekly food distribution at the Center in collaboration with the Food Bank and the Center for People in Need. 

We administer a Health Outreach and Breast Cancer  Awareness Programs which seeks medical and dental homes for our clients and assist women in dealing with cancer.

Our Strong Courageous Girls and Talented Tenth Programs, for young men and women, provides cultural awareness, leadership skill development, and encourages participants to work for the betterment of themselves, their families, and their community.

Our Ending Domestic Violence Program provides survivors with the skills and tools to achieve financial independence, become aware of basic saftey planning, and assist survivors to move towards job readiness.
