  • The Manchester Police Athletic League (MPAL) provides free programs in mentorship, life skills, and intervention to youth in Manchester, fostering safer communities and brighter futures. MPAL is committed to ensuring that all of its programs are completely free, eliminating any financial barriers so that every young person has the opportunity to participate and benefit. MPAL is also an all-inclusive organization, welcoming youth from all backgrounds, abilities, and circumstances to ensure that everyone has access to the support and resources they need. MPAL focuses its programming in three general areas: athletics, enrichment, and intervention. Examples include boxing and judo for athletics, homework help and music lessons for enrichment, and mentoring and court diversion programs for intervention.

Who We Are

The Manchester Police Athletic League (MPAL) is a safe haven serving at risk youth ages 5-18 during after school, early evening and vacation hours. The Manchester Police Athletic League strives to foster and maintain positive relationships between the youth of the Greater Manchester area and members of the Manchester Police Department. MPAL offers area youth a safe, structured environment to help kids grow, make the right choices and become productive members of the community. By providing mentoring through sports, educational and enrichment programming we work to instill the values of respect, responsibility, accountability , and the importance of giving back. MPAL is working to create champions both in and out of the gym.
All MPAL programs are offered at no cost so ability to pay is never a barrier to participation.
