MaPaw was formed in 2000 by a group of individuals that shared a passion and love for the Siberian Husky breed.

It has been 12 years since our founding members formed MaPaw and our reason for being has never changed. We are here to care for those Sibes and Husky mixes that have been abandoned, neglected and forgotten.

MaPaw is an organization dedicated to the caring and placement of Siberian Husky and Husky mix dogs into loving, permanent homes through adoption and referral services.

MaPaw is a network of foster homes that open their homes and their hearts to pups in need. All of our dogs are given individual attention that allows us to learn about their personalities and needs. This knowledge helps us to place our dogs in homes that are best suited for them, which results in rewarding and lasting relationships.

At MaPaw, we have some special permanent guests that are unable to be adopted due to age, long term physical conditions, health issues or behavioral (other than aggression) issues. These pups will remain in the foster homes that they call home for the rest of their lives.

One of the most difficult aspects of our rescue is caring for terminally ill dogs. These dogs still have quality time left, they just need a quiet place to rest. For those dogs, we place them in special foster homes where they are cared for, spoiled and loved for as long as they are with us. The hospice program can be emotionally taxing, but knowing the dogs are happy, loved and respected throughout their final days is our reward.
