The March Field Air Museum is a nonprofit educational institution dedicated to promoting an understanding of humanity’s reach for the skies and March Field’s pivotal role in the development of flight. Accredited by the American Alliance of Museums and rated the #1 Attraction in Riverside by TripAdvisor, the museum displays 80 aircraft, ranging from a full-sized replica of the Wright Brothers' pioneering flyer, to the world’s fastest manned air-breathing aircraft (the SR-71 Blackbird) and a modern-day MQ-1 Predator (remotely piloted aircraft), to some of America’s most iconic military planes including World War II and Cold War bombers.

The museum receives no ongoing government funding to cover its operations, even as it works diligently to increase public awareness of the continuing contributions of today's March Air Reserve Base to the culture and economy of the Riverside community, to preserve the rich military and aviation-related history of Riverside, and to educate the public about the continuously evolving fields of aviation and aerospace. The March Field Air Museum is the repository of 29,000 aviation artifacts which are exhibited on a rotating basis inside the museum’s two exhibition hangars. In addition the museum's Yeager Family Library houses over 6,000 aviation-themed volumes.

You may wonder how we fund operations? A combination of admission fees (we strive to keep these affordable, currently $10 for adults, $5 youth), store sales, and rental events cover approximately 75% of our budget. We rely on grants, sponsorship, and the generosity of friends and supporters like you to help cover the balance of our funding needs.

Won't you consider a generous donation today so we may continue in this important work? We have a current need that you can help with! Since its inception, the March Field Air Museum has welcomed current-duty military personnel to visit free of charge, year-round. Not only do we hope you’ll donate so we may continue to offer this benefit, we became a Blue Star Museum in summer 2017 to welcome the families of current duty military personnel to visit for free. We are continuing our involvement in the Blue Star Museums program in summer 2018 with your support.
