Marin Ballet

At Marin Ballet, our mission is to develop confident, healthy, and joyous students through exceptional ballet training, performances, mentorship, and community engagement. 2023 marks the 60th year since Leona Norman and a dedicated group of volunteers founded the Marin Civic Ballet Association. Since that time, Marin Ballet has grown from a single studio in Mrs. Norman’s attic to Marin’s most important center for dance, graduating more than 1,000 students. 

Our students are the reason we love what we do. From diverse neighborhoods and backgrounds, students have grown to show confidence and artistry beyond their years. While some of our alums pursue professional dance careers, most of our graduates apply their talents to careers as diverse as medicine, teaching, business, engineering, acting and more. Many alums have shared that the life skills learned at Marin Ballet continue to play a role in their success.
