We’re helping people, changing lives, making every contribution count.
We are building a community where…
United Way of Marshall County raises funds to support health and human services that help thousands of people. In 2011, United Way and its partner agencies/programs helped more than 33,000 Marshall County residents in need. A donation to United Way goes directly to helping people, producing positive results that improve the lives of its community. Working with 22 partner agencies, United Way supports programs in education, financial stability, health, and meeting basic needs – the building blocks for a good life.
United Way also sponsors five direct service programs:
2-1-1/First Call For Help: A free information and referral service to available health and human services.
Day of Caring: A community-wide volunteer project that benefits nonprofit agencies in Marshall County and creates positive change in the lives of children, families, and seniors.
Project Cool Breeze: A community-wide program that provides fans and air conditioners to low-income seniors and families with special health needs.
Stuff the Buss: An annual initiative program that helps thousands of low-income and homeless children start school ready to learn by providing backpacks and school supplies.
Can-A-Thon: An annual food drive that helps feed low-income families and seniors trying to make ends meet.
United Way of Marshall County serves all areas of Marshall County.
