Matforce the Yavapai County Substance Abuse Coalition

MATFORCE is a non-profit coalition that began in 2006, whose stated mission is “working together to reduce substance abuse in Yavapai County.” The four primary goals of MATFORCE are:
1. Support prevention programs for youth and family.
2. Influence public opinion and policy on substance abuse issues.
3. Increase our community’s capacity to intervene and treat.
4. Address the problems of underage drinking.

The MATFORCE coalition consists of over three  hundred volunteers, which includes a Board
of Directors, the Prescott Area Steering Committee, the Verde Area Steering Committee and various Work Groups, along with other volunteers and supporters who work to accomplish the MATFORCE goals. It includes representatives from families, youth, schools, businesses, faith-based, medical professionals, law enforcement, government, treatment and recovery.
