Matthew's Crossing Food Bank provides food assistance to individuals/children/families that are the working poor, homeless, seniors, infants, disabled, those on a fixed income, and families in crisis. No person requesting food assistance is turned away.

Currently, Arizona is tied as the worst state in the nation as it relates to childhood hunger; 1 in 4 children (1 in 5 adults; 1 in 7 seniors) do not know where their next meal will come from.  With almost 40% of our clients being under the age of 18, it's imperative we continue to provide food, a basic need, to our most vulnerable clients... children.

From our humble beginnings in 2001, serving just 800 clients, we are now in our 13th year of proving food to our hungry neighbors in need.  In 2013, we served 43,013 individuals and provided 12,773 emergency food boxes. We are seeing an increase in new clients, especially given the recent SNAP (food stamps) cuts that took place in November 2013, with 60+ families visiting our food bank daily, in just a three-hour period.

Matthew's Crossing works hard to provide food and hope to families in crisis. We can't do it without the support of the communities in which we serve. There are many ways to donate, including online, by telephone or mail, or making a gift of stock or other securities.

Thank you for helping to unite our community in the fight against hunger.
