This is an equine assisted education program established for the primary purpose of providing social and educational opportunities to people in our community.  Our intent is to provide equine assisted lessons and skill building, access to internship programs to stimulate learning of job skills and personal development, access to outdoor activities and support of core learning, and assisting parents who have been affected by the current COVID crisis to have access to the program regardless of their ability to pay.  Our future mission includes offering our programs to military families, students with special needs and families that have been affected by domestic violence… equine assisted therapy and education is a proven method of reaching clients suffering from ptsd or violation of trust.  It reaches across barriers to students with autism and learning disabilities.  

It is our goal to have a positive impact on our community by providing a fun and safe environment for equine-centered education and outdoor activities, while promoting social and personal development. By providing scholarships and work-study programs, we hope that families from all economic backgrounds will be able to access our programs. Our motto has been and probably always will be “helping people helping animals” and in the course of that mission it ends up being the horse that speaks to the person.

During the course of our programs we fund efforts to provide rescue and sanctuary for horses in need as well as accepting or helping rescue horses for either sanctuary here or possible adoptive homes.  A lot of our rescue horses are able to be re-purposed for our programs here and our clients are able to have a hand in their rehab.  In the cases where it not possible to re-purpose or adopt a horse to another home we offer a permanent sanctuary home. 

It is our mission to ultimately help students develop confidence and self esteem, families to be more connected, our community to have a place to come and have fun, the public to be educated on equine welfare and develop relationships with horses, and our animals to have safe and happy lives.
