Below are all the official details about McClain but what you really need to know is this:  Our residents are amazing and diverse people! They are beautiful and smart and work hard! One of our residents even volunteers at the Humane Society. They are productive members of our society and they need you!  It is our privilage as a community to ensure they are loved, cared for and treated with respect.  It is an important task and I know that you are up for the challenge.

Incorporated in 1977, McClain Inc. provides comprehensive habilitative services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Services are currently provided in 3 small group home settings. Each home is located in a residential area of Tampa. Two of the homes are for ladies and one for men. In all settings McClain's goal is to enhance functional life skills and independence.

McClain supports the Florida Blue Ribbon Task Force on Inclusive Community Living, Transition & Employment of Persons with Developmental Disabilities statement of Policy and Principle, which states in part; “ Disability is a natural part of the human experience that does not diminish the rights of individuals with developmental disabilities to live independently, to work in competitive , integrated settings, to exert control and choice over their lives, and to fully participate in and contribute to their communities through full integration and inclusion in the economic, political, social, recreational, cultural and educational mainstream of society." 

McClain is licensed and partially funded by the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities and the Hillsborough Disadvantaged Transportation program.
