SUCCESSFUL STUDENTS

At-risk children get a better start in school and life by attending a high quality child care program. Children enrolled in quality early education programs achieve increased high school graduation rates, and are less likely to be placed in special education or repeat a grade. Those who have attended quality preschool programs score better on standardized tests and school readiness evaluations.

RESPONSIBLE ADULTS

Families of enrolled children receive parenting education and social services that allow them to become more effective at providing a positive environment for their children. In turn, at-risk children who attend quality programs, like those offered at McNeilly, have reduced rates of crime and delinquency, lower rates of teen pregnancy, and are more likely to be gainfully employed as adults.

STRONGER COMMUNITIES

The availability of affordable child care enables a parent to remain in the workforce or gain entry to the work force, helping them on a path to self-sufficiency. In addition, a reduced need for remedial and special education, welfare, and criminal justic services saves money for communities who support quality education.
