Mead Park in Corry, Pennsylvania, is a charming, community-focused 49 acre park offering a peaceful escape with a variety of recreational amenities. Established in 1949, the park was donated by Glenn Mead to provide residents with a space to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. It is maintained by the Mead Park Association, a nonprofit organization supported by the local foundations and community groups.  It’s an ideal spot for families and nature enthusiasts alike. Some of its features include:



Playgrounds
: There are playgrounds suitable for children of various ages. Perfect for kids to enjoy and explore.



Walking Trails
: The park offers secluded scenic paths for a leisurely stroll or a more energizing walk.



Sports Courts
:  The park feautres outdoor asphalt pickleball courts with permanent lines and nets. These courts are free to use and are amoung the most popular places to play picketball in Corry. There are baseball fields, basketball court, and Frisbee Golf, plus a fishing pond for youth under 16 years of age. An adult fitness center is available for outdoor workouts. 



Picnic Facilities
: Multiple picnic tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Two lodges with basic kitchen facilities can be reserved for events. Additionally, several pavilions are equipped with electricity and are available for reservations. Relax and enjoy a meal with family and friends in the fresh air.

Hours & Access

   Park Hours:    Open daily from 9:00 am to dusk

   Vehichle Access: Roads within the park are closed to vehicles from December to May 1st.     

Events: 

Mead Park hosts various community events throughout the year, including the annual Reindeer Trail Drive-Thru during the holiday season. This event features light displays, music, and a visit from Santa Claus. 

The 2nd Sunday in August finds the park hosting Glen Mead Days with local vendors, wagon rides, a petting zoo, and a car show. Fun for everyone.
