Mojave Environmental Education Consortium

Founded in 2001, the mission of the Mojave Environmental Education Consortium (MEEC) has always been to improve the environmental literacy of students, teachers and the community of the Mojave Desert region by actively providing high quality environmental and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) educational resources.

MEEC’s programs are 100% funded through the support of donors like you! 

More than 7,000 students have benefited from MEEC funded field trips to environmentally-relevant locations in and around the High Desert region; over 900 teachers have participated in FREE environmental educator workshops and thousands of FREE educator kits and curriculum have been distributed to more than 250 schools throughout the High Desert.

MEEC’s service area consist of the High Desert portion of San Bernardino County, the Palo Verde Valley of Riverside County and the High Desert region of North Los Angeles County, including the cities of Lancaster and Palmdale.
