Vivian B Adams School Board

The Vivian B. Adams School Board (VBASB) endeavors to foster the philosophy that persons with developmental disabilities, such as an intellectual disability, have the right to participate in their community as equal citizens.

All services/supports offered by VBASB are available to any citizen of Dale County wh has a developmental disability.  As capacity allows, Local Education Authority (LEA), Adult Habilitation Serveces and Case Management Services are available to citizens in surrounding counties who been referred by their county 310 board.

The vision context is an enviroment of enrichment and safety in which students/consumers may learn needed skills without fear of a buse, neglect or mistreatment. 

Students/consumers receive these services\supports in an environment which is free from discrimination by race, sex, age, ethnicity, disability, religion or sexual orientation.  This context is a prime and non-negotiable compnent of the system.

Th Vivian B. Adams School Board members for 2011/12 are Bonnie Crawford, Pat Jackson, Pat Sneed(Sec), Robert Crosby(Vice Chairman), Joe W. Adams, Bill Kamerer, Dot Adams, Fred Steagall, and Frank Carroll(Chairman).  Our Director is David Sprayberry.
