The Mental Wellness Campaign for Anoka County (MWCAC) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to erase the stigma surrounding mental health through awareness, education, and engagement.  Our purpose is to reach out to the entire community with the message, “Mental Health is as important as Physical Health."


Recent Accomplishments & Campaign Work

  1. Hosted annual 5K walks for Mental Wellness.
  2. Sponsored community events: Evenings of Joy to increase positivity in the community; variety of mental wellness classes and films; Make it OK stigma reduction community campaign.
  3. Promoted mental wellness mission/vision/purpose in the community: schools, faith-based organizations, businesses, state lawmakers, and community-service organizations.
  4. Participated on the NAMI Anoka County board.

The Mental Wellness Campaign for Anoka County (MWCAC) was formed in 2004 and became a

501c3 in 2007.
