The Merrillville Education Foundation is a non-profit organization that was formed about 12 years ago by a group of Merrillville community members and educators who wanted to make a difference in the lives of Merrillville students. 

 

A true commitment was made to support educational programs by providing grants to teachers and schools for innovations in learning and broadened educational experiences.

 

This mission has been and continues to be accomplished by developing business and community partnerships and by sponsoring community events in order to gain funding for our grants program.

 

We are proud to share that in the last 12 years, the Merrillville Education Foundation has funded 190 grants totaling over $200,000 and impacting over 50,000 students from kindergarten to high school.
