Methow Valley Family Home Center

Jamie's Place is the only adult family home in the Methow valley; a place in Washington State for seniors that is close to home, family, and community. It was built on the model of the Green House Project, a national organization promoting non-institutional, home environments where residents, their families, and the staff engage in meaningful relationships centered on equality, empowerment, and mutual respect. Although the founding of Jamie's Place is a wonderful story and over 70 residents, their families and friends have benefitted from care, Jamie's is facing the reality that the aging population in the valley will need long-term care but doesn't always have the means to pay for it. 

We serve a critical need in an isolated rural location with a higher rate of elderly and low-income residents than the WA state average. DSHS in WA State only provides 50% coverage for Medicaid residents of Adult Family Homes. Donations support our belief that everyone who wants to, should be able to live at Jamie's Place, regardless of ability to pay.
