When we started our work, Chicago had one of the nation's largest disparities in breast cancer survival with African American women dying at a rate 62% higher than White women. Today, Chicago leads the nation in reducing breast cancer deaths for African American women.

Your donation will help us do even better.  We can save even more lives.

Your support will help us fight the looming threats to our healthcare system, especially for uninsured women, those insured under the Affordable Care Act, and those who rely on Medicaid.  Your help will continue our work to:

  • Educate our communities on how to reduce cancer risk and utilize early detection services;
  • Navigate women through our fractured healthcare system and insurance nightmares;
  • Improve mammography quality, so every mammogram is a good one; and
  • Advocate for increased funding for screening and treatment for medically underserved women.

Your gift will help us continue to be a champion for women throughout our area – a powerful voice for those that often are not well represented in our society.

An anonymous donor has generously agreed to match all new contributions to Equal Hope on Giving Tuesday dollar for dollar up to $10,000.  Please give today.
