At MHC we do more than just adopt out pets at our Enhanced Adoption Center within PetSmart, we attack the issue of pet homelessness in many different aspects to stop the issue head-on.  In an attempt to reduce unwanted and accidental litters of puppies and kittens we have been working with community leaders to revise city ordinance wording.  We have also educated the public through media outlets, as well as taught children about pet health and wellness.  To connect owner to resources we have hosted several low-cost shot and microchip clinics where we also speak to owners about the benefits of spay/neuter and hand out information about Midland’s voucher program.

 

We have been so blessed by the support of the community in our endeavors to adopt out pets, educate the public about pet health, and connect owners to the resources they need.  Please help us continue our mission with a financial gift.  Your money will be used to pay operating expenses for the Enhanced Adoption Center and go towards building the Van and Joe Mabee Wellness and Treatment Center.  The Wellness and Treatment Center will provide a safe place to homeless pets awaiting the furr-ever home, as well as, low cost veterinary services to the public.
